Anzac war

 Hello wonderful people

In social studies we are reading and learning about  the Anzac's and our teacher ask if we have any family member that was in the war and if we have been to a dawn service for ANZAC day.

World war 1...  great great uncle Cyril Burn full service at gallipoli

World war 2...  great great uncle Don Gillanders served in Crete along side great great uncle Archie Gillanders in Galatas, Crete. Uncle Archie died 25.5.1941, memorised at Souda Bay War Cemetery.

Great great uncle Bill Myres served on the ship Archillies which took out the German 'pocket battleship' Graf Spee.

Great great uncle John Ross and great granddad William Ross both served in NZ.

Step great granddad Rodger Finlay served in the Pacific islands.

Near the end of the Vietnam War, Popa, Clayton Ross, mums dad, served in the 28 ANZUK in South East Asia, Singapore.

Here are some photo my granddad had.
