Yellow Brick Road

Witi Ihimaera was born in Gisborne in New Zealand.

Five publish world have been issue into film-like Kawa.

Yellow Brick Road means to me like the "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" in the wizard of oz.

I think the story is about a journey.

Witi Ihimaera - Penguin Books New ZealandThe narrative believes they were moving to wellington so his parent could get jobs and get more money.

In Waituhi is very poor while wellington is where the money is.

The dad tells uncle sam that they want to start a new life and to let the kids have a better life.

The narrative was very happy at the start but near the end, he starts to feel scared.

Emerald city, yellow brick road, flying monkey, tinman, scarecrow, cowardly lion is from the famous book and movie The Wizard of Oz the writer made this comparison because when he got closer he realized it not what it seems but what he realized that he has his family.

What we can learn from climate change report

Text title: The detail: What we can learn from the climate change report
Text type: Article.
Text creator: Emile Donovan
Text purpose: To tell people about the climate change report.
Critical Literary question: What does the author of this text want us to know?
Date:13/8/2021

Emile Donovan sat with Gibson and discussed the good and bad headlines from the IPCC'S Sixth Assessment Report. Gibson talked about that the intergovernmental panel on climate change was formed in 1988 and released its first report in 1990 and that nothing had changed since 30 years ago. It's now inarguable, incontrovertible that has changed are being caused by us is now clear as well. The thing to take from this is some impacts are now baked in. The seas are going to keep rising in the years because of the temperature changes that we have already produced. Later on, Gibson suggested that this could be a deliberate act on part of the IPCC to encourage people to understand the ideas in the report and force their own government to act.

The Author Emile Donovan who wrote the Article 'What we can learn from the climate change report' wanted to let us know that climate change will affect our future because the article says how climate change will make the sea rise. I believe the reason, Emile Donovan wrote this was to inform us about how the temperature will change for the next years.

Film study......

 FILM STUDY QUESTION.

In English with Miss Johnson, we re-imagine the merchant of Venice.
My Group did a short film where a kid has his friend over and asked his mother for something but she gives something else.
We used Full shot, Long shot, Tilt shot, Pan shot, Close up, Mid shot, and added birds-eye-view shot, Zoned in shot we used those shot so we could see our feet at the beginning of the video and we zoned in on the 2 kids. The challenge we had was getting all the filming correctly.
I learned what re-imagining means and how to make one for the challenges we had to redo it and re-film it a couple of times.
If I was to do this differently next time I would want to film it instead of acting but it was fun making it.
